In accordance with the terms and conditions of the December 1, 2012 .com Registry Agreement, as amended, executed between VeriSign, Inc. and the Web Corporation for Assigned Names and Number (“ICANN”), Verisign has provided effective notice of a price increase for every annual increment of an initial and renewal .com domain name registration and for every transfer of a .com domain name registration from one Registrar to a different Registrar.
Verisign and ICANN agreed to amend the .COM Registry Agreement in 2020 to allow a rise to the value for .COM registry services, as much as a maximum of seven% in each of the ultimate 4 years of every six-year period (the primary six-year period commenced on Oct. 26, 2018).
