PIR calls for nominations for this year’s (bigger) .ORG Impact Awards

Date:

More awards and an in-person awards ceremony are on tap this year.

Public Interest Registry (PIR), the organization that runs .org, has put out a call for nominations for this year’s .ORG Impact Awards.

It’s the fifth year that PIR will honor organizations and individuals making an impact on the world.

This year’s top winner will take home $50,000, and there will be $180,000 in total prizes. That’s up from $45,000 and $115,000 last year. Category winners will take home $10,000, and this year the finalists will also be rewarded with $2,500.

In addition to more prizes, this year’s event will return to an in-person awards ceremony in Washington D.C. in November.

Nominees must have a .org website.

Last year, PIR received entries from 947 organizations from 68 countries.

Nominations are due June 28.
