My new favorite AI domain generator

I feel like a hand-registration genius.

AI-powered domain name generators are opening many people’s eyes to the quality of domains available for hand registration.

Before these tools became available, most domain investors generated domains to hand register in one of two ways:

1. Follow trends for new words, technologies, etc., such as 3D, metaverse, and even AI

2. Use tools to combine keywords with prefixes and suffixes

Artificial intelligence tools help domainers expand well beyond these traditional methods.

I’ve tested multiple AI domain generators and have a new favorite: AI Domain Genius.

AI Domain Genius is simple to use while expanding the types of domains it generates compared to other tools I’ve tested.

Like other tools, you begin by typing a description for a product or service. You’ll also want to click the “advanced options” link to limit the length and top level domain.

But the magic of AI Domain Genius really happens with the domain type option in advanced options: descriptive, clever, alliteration, and metaphor.

Brandable domain sellers will probably prefer “clever.” I’m a big fan of domains with alliteration. And the “metaphor” option also worked well for me.

You can also add a keyword for additional focus.

Then, the tool goes into action, pulling up 20 domains that might be a fit and checking for availability. (You can click a button to generate more results.)

AI Domain Genius lets you star domains you like, which adds them to a favorites list (no registration is required). You can then copy this list and click through to GoDaddy’s bulk checker to buy the domains. (Like many free domain tools, AI Domain Genius uses an affiliate link. I highly encourage people to use these links when using free tools to help them pay their hosting bills and continue adding new features.)

There are currently 161 million registered .com domains. Many people say, “All of the good domains are taken,” and they have a valid point. But I’d argue they should most of the good domains are taken.

You won’t find any one word domains or extremely valuable two word domains to hand register using any sort of method. But AI Domain Genius finds the type of domains that could be sold for $1,000-$5,000.

Today, I worked with AI Domain Generator at the same time I reviewed GoDaddy closeouts and pending deletes. Many of the domains I found on the site are comparable to ones you can buy in closeouts or low-priced auctions. I hand-registered about a dozen domains I found with AI Domain Genius.

I’m having fun with AI name generators like this and am curious if others have found domains worth registering, too.
